Navigating the College Search and Application Process: Finding the Fit...Thoughts & Ideas for Personalizing the College Search/Selection Process.  This unique PTSA event was held on May 19, 2008 with 80 students and parents attending.  Guest speaker Claire Nold-Glaser, a college counselor, spoke to the college admissions process with tips on how to avoid stress due the media hype surrounding the topic.  Some of her key quotes were, “There is not one perfect school,” and “Unless you plan a career as a gaming engineer, playing video games is not looked upon as a great extracurricular activity” by college admissions officers.

Missed the event?  Claire’s power point presentation can be viewed at Finding the Fit.  Handouts from the event can be picked up in the counseling office while supplies last.
