Topic: Effective Collaboration
Speaker: Greg Abell from Sound Options Group
Have you ever wondered how to really collaborate as part of an IEP team? How can you help change the outcome of difficult conversations? Join Greg Abell as he offers his insights into these questions.
Children are best served when parents, educators, and agencies work together to provide coordinated care. Parents and educators report that working together with team members can be satisfying, effective and ultimately good for their child/student. They also tell us it can be very challenging. There is potential for differing opinions, tension, disagreement and conflict. This presentation will help increase both your self-awareness and your confidence in challenging conversations.
You will learn:
 • Strategies for Effective Problem Solving and Engaging Challenging Conversations
 • Resources for Supporting Effective Collaboration in Special Education
