General Information
Issaquah
High School PTSA is pleased to contribute a substantial portion of its yearly
budget to funding teacher needs as well as activities, clubs and the extended
needs of our students. The funding
process takes two forms.
1) Teacher
grants: Each full time teacher,
specialist, counselor and librarian is eligible for a $100 grant and each part
time teacher is eligible for a $50 grant.
Part time is defined as .6 or less, teaching 3 or fewer classes per day
at IHS. This money is spent at the teacher’s
discretion.
2) Special
Funding Requests: Funding for
specific needs that exceed the funds available from teacher grants.
Timetable
Teacher grants
are paid as a reimbursement upon submittal of a Reimbursement Form and
receipts. The reimbursements can be made
in increments throughout the year or as a lump sum. All reimbursement requests for teacher grants
must be submitted to the principal’s secretary by April 30th. Any funds not used from teacher grants will
be rolled into special request funding May 1st.
Special Funding
Requests will be approved at PTSA meetings in October, January, March and
May. For a request to be considered for
funding it must be submitted to the PTSA by the 15th of the previous month. Special funding requests must have the
approval of the principal prior to being submitted to the PTSA.

A finite amount
of money will be allocated to each funding cycle based on a percentage of the
total special funding request budget amount.

10%. Any money remaining from a funding
period will be rolled into the next period.
