College
Resource Handbook: A great informational tool is available through the
IHS Counseling Department/Career Center.
The IHS College Planning Resource Handbook is filled with information on navigating the
college admissions process and is a great starting point for parents of
sophomores, juniors and seniors. ·
Bus sign ups for the all night senior party will be the week of May 12-16.
Seniors can sign up 1 hour before lunch, during lunch, and ½ hour after lunch
in the Commons area. View Class

Parents of Seniors:
PTSA helps organize and run certain senior events and
celebrations. We are looking for
volunteers to chair some of these events for the class of 2008. For more information, go to Class

Superintendent Dr. Steve Rasmussen invites you to
coffee and chat. There are two opportunities on May 28 from ·
The
committee has been selected to recommend a plan to redraw school attendance boundaries. A preview will be
held around the district in May showing preferred options and written input
will be accepted on the options. The final report will be issued in fall 2008
with secondary level changes taking place in 2009 and primary level changes

The High School
Graduation Requirements Committee has been formed and begun its
work. IHS Parent Rep Kim Hamilton can be contacted with questions and

Resources: The National PTA website is a valuable resource for parents, with
information on health and wellness, student achievement, safety, and media
and technology. In addition, your
membership in IHS PTSA gives you access to other member benefits. Your login and password are on the back of
your PTA membership card, mailed to you with your student directory. ·
The Washington
State PTA website also has
parent resources, with topics ranging from grade level expectations to WASL
to internet safety to emergency preparedness and more. ·
The
Washington State PTA has posted articles relating to school violence and the
need to ensure our students that schools are safe and nurturing places. These articles can be accessed via the Washington
State PTA resources webpage. ·
